Salman Khan starrer Kick to get new release date?

Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Kick was initially scheduled to release on Eid, and those keen on knowing, knew Salman had been working non-stop just so the team could stick to this release date. Now, according to what reports are suggesting, Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut may get a new release date. There's reportedly a 40-day scheduled still waiting to get completed.
This is yet another delay for the movie that started late anyway due to some issue apparently with Salman Khan's UK visa, and the most recent development: the reopening of the 2002 hit-and-run case involving the actor. Other instances like the makers wanting bulk dates for Salman, Jacqueline and Randeep (also in the film), only delayed the movie further, according to reports. Meanwhile, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is shooting for his part in the film. There were also reports of Deepika Padukone doing an item number in the film, news that has been reportedly been denied by producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala. As far as any delays are concerned, Sajid has been quoted by a daily as saying they're sticking to the original Eid release date.

Salman Khan Hit & Run Trial – Witness claims receiving death threats

In a setback to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, in the 2002 hit-and-run case. The three witnesses who deposed today - Manu Khan, Mohammed Kalim Iqbal Pathan and Muslim Shaikh , identified him in a sessions court saying they had seen him getting down from the car which had met with an accident in Bandra on September 28, 2002. But another development took place in which one of the witnesses who deposed today has lodged a complaint claiming that he had received a threatening call a few days back. Another witness Sheikh, has alleged that his former lawyer, Mukesh Pandey, tried to influence him to change his statement by offering him a bribe. Pandey is said to have been instrumental in helping the victims, including Sheikh, to get compensation. He also reportedly helped them open bank accounts and stood guarantor for them. As per sources, Sheikh said he received two calls from the same number and the unidentified caller told him, “Paanch lakh le lo aur palat jao” (take Rs. 5 lakh and change your statement). Sheikh refused the offer, the man called him again. This time, the witness disconnected the call. The next day Sheikh submitted a written complaint with the Bandra Police. Senior police inspector Ramchandra Dhawale of Bandra police station said, “The SIM card from which the call was made, was registered in the name of Pandey, a High Court lawyer. We have received an order from the court to investigate the matter. We will appoint an inspector-level officer in the case, who will properly look into the matter and submit a report in the next hearing. The court will decide if an FIR is to be lodged.” Sources added that, Advocate Mukesh Pandey pleaded innocence and said, “The police are playing games with me. I have not made any such calls. Also, I have no connections with Salman’s family. In fact, I had helped the cops trace the witness in the recent case. I gave an interview that all the witnesses are present in the court and the Bandra police is unwilling to trace them.” The court is conducting a re-trial of the case, after charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder were added recently. The offence attracts a ten-year sentence. Salman Khan was present in the court accompanied by his sisters Alvira and Arpita Khan.

Redfoo is a big fan of Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone

It's Stefan Gordy a. k. a. Redfoo's first performance in India and the one thing that's on his mind, other than " converting the country into a party planet", is Bollywood. " I'm fascinated by Bollywood - the item songs, the vibrant culture and the beautiful women. In fact, I'm a huge fan of Deepika Padukone, Manjeet Ral from Bhangra band RDB, and Salman Khan. I'd like to party rock with them when I'm in India," he says ahead of his May 10 gig at Kingdom of Dreams and the May 11 show in Mumbai.
One half of the American musical duo LMFAO, Redfoo has always been in the company of celebrities. Being the youngest son of Motown Record Company founder Berry Gordy, Jr., Redfoo would often come across pop star Michael Jackson or R& B singer Smokey Robinson at his father's house. " I was at dad's house at Thanksgiving and Christmas and in the summer I'd go there for a month. So when I saw Michael Jackson for the first time, he was already ' the Michael Jackson'. With Smokey Robinson it was like ' Oh, that's the guy who plays backgammon with my Dad. Oh, he sings too'," he adds. His own career in music began in 2006 when he formed LMFAO with his nephew Sky Blu a. k. a.
Skyler Gordy. A few years later, in 2011 to be precise, the duo took over the charts with hits such as ' Party Rock Anthem' and ' Sexy and I Know It'. But since then, the uncle- nephew team has gone on hiatus. " Sky and I have very strong personalities," says Redfoo whose tour comes on the heels of Sky Blu's India concerts in March this year. " We just wanted to slightly go in different directions. So it was like, okay, let's just take a break and go in these directions, and then we'll come back later and be stronger than ever." Redfoo has of late been busy with recording his upcoming solo album, being a judge on the reality music competition The X Factor in Australia, and performing all over the world. His India tour has been organised by Netsurf Entertainment, Crossbar Entertainment and Bigdream Entertainment.

Play a Salman Khan fan in ‘Main Aur Mr Riight’: Nirbhay Wadhwa

Actor Nirbhay Wadhwa, best known for portraying Dushasana in mythological TV drama series ‘Mahabharat’, will be seen playing a Salman Khan fan in his debut Bollywood film ‘Main Aur Mr Riight’. The movie will also mark the big screen debut of TV actor Barun Sobti of ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ fame, who plays the main lead. VJ-turned-actress Shenaz Treasurywala stars in the film as Sobti’s love interest. Nirbhay will be seen playing the role of a struggling actor. “I play Rajiv in the film, who has come to Mumbai to be a hero. There is a film that is being made in the movie. I have come to give an audition for the film. My character is a hard core Salman Khan fan. He does not listen to anyone, does his own thing. He is a nobody but he still looks down upon others,” Nirbhay said. “I have scenes with Makarand Deshpande and Shenaz,” said the actor, who has been part of shows like ‘Crime Patrol’ and CID’. Nirbhay is awaiting the release of the film, which is currently in post-production. When asked about the difference between working in films and television, the actor says, “‘Mahabharat’ is a huge show. The film that I have done is not a big budget film. So, that is the main difference. I could not understand or learn much while shooting my film as it was a short span of six days. “I have been on the TV show for many months now and have evolved as an actor,” he said. ‘Mahabharat’ has been airing on Star Plus since September last year. The show, which comes almost 20 years after BR Chopra’s super hit series based on the Hindu epic, has been able to strike the right chord with the audience. Nirbhay, who has bulked up for his role in ‘Mahabharat’, feels it was mandatory for him to build his body in order to make his character believable. “I build my body to make my character more believable. If the audience sees that I am lean but still I am fighting with people double my size and landing blows on them, they will not accept it. It has become a requirement to have a good body,” said Nirbhay, who idolises bodybuilders like Ronnie Coleman, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Markus Ruhl. The actor says he prepared for the role of Dushasana after reading about him and also watching Vinod Kapoor, who portrayed Duryodhana’s younger brother in BR Chopra’s version.

Salman Khan Khan's fan support him in 2002 hit-and-run case (view pics)

No matter what’s court’s judgment over Salman Khan in 2002 hit-and-run case, his ardent fans would never accept him as guilty. Twelve years after the case comes haunting the Dabangg Khan, his fans are standing alongside him in full support. Among them there is a particular section, which on a daily basis makes a visit outside his Bandra Apartment no matter what the conditions are. Salman’s Galaxy Apartments, which is around the corner from the bakery where Salman Khan lives in a flat below his parents, is located on a wide curve along a seafront street.
Every evening his loyal fans safely gather in large groups without fear of being run over, or being defeated by rain or scorching sun. There big prize is nothing but a small glimpse of their bhai who occasionally marks his presence in balcony and waves his hand towards them. But these days it is said that he is in his Panvel farmhouse to avoid attention for the case. “I have been here for two days,” said Shahi Khan, 16, from Mumbai, in an interview to a leading daily. The boy bunked college to see the superstar. “People have been saying he won’t come because he is in Panvel. But I have seen him once already a month-and-a-half ago. I hope I can see him again.”
About the case he is confident that the actor is innocent. “It is a false case,” he said. “He is the best of all the stars and he is the biggest social worker. It cannot be true.” Another fan of his says, “They are only putting a case against him because he is a star,” chipped in Rahul Kumar, 21, also from Delhi. “Had people like us done something similar, they would not have made such a fuss about it.” Only Mohammed Kamran from “CG”, Chhattisgarh, was willing to accept that if Khan was found guilty, he should have to serve his time. "I am a fan, so I will of course say that he is innocent," he said. "But if bhai has done it, then he must get justice." What will be the outcome, it’s hard to judge. May the justice prevail, is all we could say for now!

Salman Khan Turns Lyricist

Salman Khan has added another feather in his cap. Known for his multi-tasking skills, having done painting, script writing (Veer),producing films and now penning the lyrics of the first song of the No Entry sequel - Haath Na Lagana. Anees Bazmee‘s latest offering has Salman Khan in the lead with Bipasha Basu, Lara Datta and Celina Jaitley as co stars. The said song has been recorded and Palash Muchal has composed the music. It has been reported,”Palash Muchal, who is only eighteen, has been roped in by Salman to compose the track, which will be the stand-out song of the film. Salman has already had sittings with Palash.” Palash who was in Indore recently appearing for his exams said, “Yes, I’ve composed a track for No Entry Mein Entry which Salman sir has written. My sister Palak has sung it.” Salman has apparently been quite impressed with the eighteen year old composer, who has worked on films like Bhoothnath Returns and Dishkiyaoon. Reports have also been buzzing that Sunny Leone could be roped in for the sequel, and the former adult star might get to romance Salman. But other reports claim that the actor could pick former Bigg Boss contestant Eli Avram instead. The film No Entry Mein Entry produced by Boney Kapoor is slated to begin shooting in January 2015. Salman has already blocked a hundred and thirty four days for this film. Currently Salman Khan is busy shooting for Kick. The last schedule of the films started yesterday, May 05, 2014 and the team will be shooting at Mehboob Studio in Bandra, which is a five-minute drive from Salman’s house on Bandstand. To save time, the makers have booked nearly four floors of the studio – which is almost the entire place – and have five active sets running simultaneously. Here’s wishing Salman Khan all the best for Kick as well as No Entry Mein Entry.

Salman Khan's star-power! Cops in court try to click pics with Sallu

A star's power can be assessed by his fan-following. And on that basis there is no bigger star in India than Salman Khan as it was evident in the court on Tuesday.
It was an unusual sight on Tuesday in Mumbai Sessions Court, not because hundreds of fans gathered there to catch a glimpse of Salman Khan. It was also not because there were an equal number of mediapersons waiting for a byte from the actor. It was unusual because the policemen present there were seen clicking pictures with the star. Yes! such is Salman's star power that cops present in the court premises to manage the crowd could not stop themselves from taking pictures with the star before he got into his car to leave for home at the end of the day. The agitated media photographers told the cops, "Why aren't you letting us click pictures when you yourself were asking the star to pose for photographs with you?" Earlier in the day, the police had a tough time keeping eager-beaver fans and the media in control. Equipment of a few photographers was damaged in the jostling and pushing. In fact, it was strange to find the cops shielding his car and preventing the shutterbugs from clicking the superstar. A scuffle ensued between the cops and the photographers soon. Salman Khan is accused of running down a group of people sleeping on a pavement in Bandra in 2002, in which one person was killed. He has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Next hearing in the case is on May 19.

Tiger Shroff: Another Salman Khan in making

Tiger Shroff, another star kid who has geared up to make it big in Bollywood with his upcoming ‘Heropanti’ seems to be following Salman Khan. We all are well aware how big stardom does Salman Khan possess and much of its credit goes to his splendid physique. While his ardent fans watch his movies to see Salman baring his perfect cuts and six pack abs, he himself too never disappoints his fans and gives a full glare to his brilliantly toned body in his every other flick.
Now Tiger Shroff who is already garnering enough appreciation for his intriguing physique in ‘Heropanti’ too is not shying away from flaunting that macho toned body in various promotional events of the film. Both Tiger Shroff and the female lead of the film, Kirti Sanon are busy promoting ‘Heropanti’ these days and are not letting any loop whole out to hit the film in the audience’s wit.
Lately, when Tiger and Kirti promoted the film while celebrating the World’s dance day amongst 20 female fans, the actor didn’t escape and flaunted his to-die-for physique and showed some uber cool dance moves.
The audience went gaga over him as he grooved to his songs bare bodied. While there are many in Bollywood who keep flaunting their six-pack abs in public time and again, no doubt ‘Salman is Salman.’
But after this Tiger Shroff’s stint, one can surely say another perfect bodied star at par with Salman Khan is in making.

Salman Khan Kick stunt causes panic in Poland

A stunt for Salman Khan's Kick caused locals to contact Polish police in a panic. According to the Daily Mail, locals saw a London double-decker bus drive off Warsaw's Gdanski Bridge and plunge into the Vistula River below, not realising that it was a stunt staged for the movie.
One onlooker said: "I saw the bus on top of the bridge and wondered what a London Bus was doing in the middle of Warsaw "It didn't move at first but then it started up, and then just drove off and fell into the river. I was completely shocked and had no idea it was part of a film." The incident was staged as part of a car chase and saw the bridge closed off at a cost of £15,000. Production company spokesman Krzysztof Solek from Film Polska Productions said the price of closing the bridge had helped them beat off competition from London and Dublin to stage the scenes in Warsaw.
While police were able to alleviate public concerns, others complained about the inconvenience and the cost of closing the bridge. One resident said: "They only paid £15,000 to close the bridge off, but how much was lost by people being late for work because of the diversion?" Angry locals have set up a Facebook group to try to raise an equal amount of money to hold a mass barbecue on the bridge. The film is directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and stars Khan.

Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan Rivalry: Bollywood Producer to Get Both Stars Together Along With Aamir Khan?

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan may be seen together along with Aamir Khan soon. There's a possibility that the Bollywood superstar trio might just be spotted together soon – not for a film unfortunately, but to celebrate producer Sajid Nadiadwala's recent success, reports Business of Cinema. Even though the tension between arch Bollywood rivals Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan seems to have subsided, having the two superstars under one roof seems highly unlikely. But it looks like Nadiadwala might just manage to get all three mega stars together. The producer is throwing a massive bash to celebrate the success of his recent films, 2 States and Highway.
Confirming the success party, Nadiadwala who is currently shooting for his upcoming directorial debut with Salman Khan's Kick in Poland said: "By the grace of God this has so far been a fantastic year for my production house. When we produced Highway, Imtiaz Ali (director) and I planned it as a small experimental quickie while we waited for Ranbir Kapoor's dates later during this year. How would we know Highway would be such a success?! It is one of my proudest achievements. And now I hear roaring reports of 2 States." Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan were last seen together in one room at the premiere of 3 Idiots in Mumbai. Reportedly, the moment was rather awkward. Aamir Khan did try to make the effort to patch the other two up, but in vain. "Here's hoping that the prolific filmmaker can be a part of the much needed Khan reunion. No one else other than Sajid Nadiadwala, who is good friends with all the Three Khans, can make that happen," states the BOC report.

More and more Bollywood producers should opt for Poland, says Salman Khan

It was mere destiny that superstar Salman Khan flew here to shoot his upcoming film "Kick". Impressed with the scenic locales, he said he would like to come here to unwind and also hoped that Indian filmmakers will explore the facilities that the country offers. "Had the British authorities not refused me the necessary visa, the original shooting would have been done in London," Salman told IANS. "But I am happy that I have come to Warsaw to finish the film. Poland on the whole is a very beautiful country and the city of Warsaw is a place of my dreams. "I wish more and more Bollywood producers would opt for the country (to shoot films) as all the technical facilities are there. What else can one desire for! Polish people are very understanding and friendly. I would love to come again and again even to chill out from my heavy commitments," added the 48-year-old.
"Kick", Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut, is being shot here and the superstar sounds positive about the film and feels it has the potential to cross the Rs.100 crore mark when it releases July 27. Even Nadiadwala is satisfied with his decision to shoot here. "We got excellent cooperation from the Polish ministry of tourism who got us subsidised rates in a five star hotel for a crew of 70 people which we brought here from Mumbai. Our local partner Film Polska did a commendable job and they entertained our each and every demand. Our experience is simply great," Nadiadwala said while addressing the international media. The credit goes to M.R. Shahjahan, executive producer of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd, for suggesting Warsaw as an alternative shooting destination for "Kick". He experienced the perks of shooting in Poland while making his own film "Aazaan". "After initial hesitation Sajid agreed and we are going to add another chapter to Indo-Polish film cooperation," Shahjahan told IANS. In 2006, Yash Raj Films also canned the climax of "Fanna" and at that time Aamir Khan, Kajol and Suniel Shetty had come to shoot in the Tatra mountains as they wanted to create a war-like Kashmir situation. Monika Kapil Mohta, Indian ambassador to Poland, said: "For the past three years or ever since I have come to Poland, I have been pleading with Bollywood producers to do something here. Finally, Nadiadwala has obliged us and this will be one of the biggest achievements of my term." She tagged Salman and Randeep Hooda as the "cultural ambassadors in the global affairs". "Bollywood has become an important tool to project India as a soft power. Polish youth watch you with admiration. Your films have created a new excitement about India. We hope your word of mouth will also create more understanding and curiosity about Poland in Bollywood circles," she added. The ambassador also praised the role of the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPCCI) for creating a proper forum to lure Bollywood producers. IPCCI is hopeful that in the coming year some five to six film units will be shooting in Poland.

Salman Khan frenzy hits Warsaw

From being followed by fans everywhere to getting wide media coverage - the filming of Bollywood film 'Kick', which stars Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles, has generated frenzy in the Polish capital. Director Sajid Nadiadwala, who is shooting the film's climax here, had no inkling people would react like that when he parked himself in the city for the shooting.
Wherever he goes to shoot, a mixed crowd of Indians and Polish fans of Bollywood films follow him. They also chant "Salman, Salman" whenever the Hindi movie superstar comes on the set. Shooting is in full swing for the past 10 days and Gazeta Wyborcza, the largest newspaper here, is giving wide coverage to the shooting. It has put four journalists on the job. Private Polish TV channel TVN also gives big coverage to the 'Kick' unit, which is expected to wrap up the shooting by the end of the month, almost every day.
"The day is not far when Warsaw can be known as Warsaliwood for the Bollywood producers. The locales and natural scenic beauty would prompt Bollywood to select Poland for their outdoor shootings. "The (production) cost is much cheaper and the civic authorities are cooperating generously. A city like Warsaw has more than 20 five star hotels and there are 30 Indian restaurants. The stars and the crew can have food of their choice anytime of the day or night. Young and beautiful Polish girls are ready to work as extras in the item numbers," wrote Michael Wojytczuk in Gazeta Wyborcza. Anna Kalata, a former labour minister and vice president of the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPPCI) and J.J. Singh, the president of the IPPCI, believe that once the film releases and if it is a commercial success, many Indians would like to come to Poland as tourists as it happened in Spain after the release of Zoya Akhtar`s 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', a few years ago.
"Poland is changing fast and for the better. Cities like Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Poznan and Wroclaw have wonderful infrastructure. A city like Lodz has the world famous film institute where Andrezej Wajda, Krzystof Zanussi and many other famous directors had started their film training. "Polish authorities are keen that Poland should be recognised as an important country internationally," added Singh. Meanwhile, Pawel, a Polish journalist, in his tongue-in-cheek style has offered a screenplay a la Bollywood movie. He wants to use the same cast as Nadiadwala has in 'Kick'. In his proposed story, Salman will act as a chef in an Indian restaurant, situated in the centre of Warsaw and he will bail out a Sri Lankan illegal migrant Jacqueline from the clutches of a Pakistani terrorist, Randeep Hooda. So far neither Salman nor Nadiadwala have shown any interest. It seems they have enough on their plate as they want to release the film by the end of July.

lman Khan has done something different. For his latest film, 'Jai Ho' he has retained the distribution rights in not one but three circuits. When you are sure about your product, you try to retain a certain share of the earnings for yourself. This has been a trend in the industry for long. Earlier it used to be keeping the overseas rights of a movie or getting a share in the film. But, Salman Khan has done things differently and succeeded and that has pushed him further onward. According to a source related to the project, “Salim Khan who is also into distribution business, decided to keep three circuits of the film, while the film has been sold to Eros International for an astronomical price. The circuits are Central Province, Central India and Rajasthan.” Not many are aware that reportedly this humongous figure of Rs 110 crore at which Eros has bought the film does not include satellite rights, a segment that forms the second highest stream of revenue for the industry. Khan had earlier already signed a deal of Rs 500 crore with Star for satellite rights of all his movies.

Salman Khan mentors his Jai Ho co-star Daisy Shah

Salman Khan has launched several leading ladies, like Sneha Ullal (Lucky: No Time For Love, 2005) and Zarine Khan (Veer, 2010). However, he never took an active interest in their careers once their respective films released. Things seem to be a tad different with Daisy Shah. There is a murmur in the industry that the Dabangg (2010) star is taking a special interest in his Jai Ho co-star. Daisy was offered the second lead’s role that was finally lapped up by Hazel Keech, in Bodyguard (2011). However, for some reason, things did not work out and she was then given a second chance by Salman. “It was unusual on his part to reconsider her for another film when she had refused his previous offer,” says an insider. And after roping her in for the Sohail Khan-directed project, Salman is apparently guiding her on how to deal with the industry and handle the media to ensure that she gains a foothold in Bollywood. “Daisy is a simple girl and Salman has asked her to keep her simplicity intact. He feels it is her identity and will take her a long way,” says the source. Witnesses observe the actor had showered a similar kind of affection and care on Katrina Kaif in the past. Also, on Salman’s advice, the upcoming film’s makers had kept Daisy out of the first trailer of the film, where the actor was planning to unveil his look. When contacted, the spokesperson of the film confirms the development and says, “Daisy does not belong to the film fraternity and since Salman is launching her, he is also grooming her in the ways of the industry. He has already started sharing tips with her as they will soon start the film’s promotions.” - See more at: http://www.hindustantimes.com/entertainment/bollywood/salman-khan-mentors-his-jai-ho-co-star-daisy-shah/article1-1169252.aspx#sthash.pjWXVioT.dpuf

Ajaz thanks Salman Khan for making people love him after 'Bigg Boss 7' stint

Ajaz Khan was flattered by the love that he received once he came out of reality show "Bigg Boss - Saath 7". He credits Bollywood star Salman Khan for making him popular among the audience when he was inside the "Bigg Boss" house. Salman hosted the show. "Salman Khan is the man who has put me in the hearts of the audience. I first made a place in his heart and only then could I enter the people's hearts," Ajaz said here Friday at an acting institute Livewires. "When the public saw their idol Salman appreciate me, they thought if he can, then even they can love me. Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan end tiff?

While most Bollywood actors tend to head overseas to bring in 2014 away from the media glare, Salman Khan celebrated New Year’s Eve with a group of close friends (including Sonakshi Sinha and Elli Avram) at his farmhouse in Panvel. However, on that day, Salman had a surprise visitor. - See more at: http://www.hindustantimes.com/entertainment/bollywood/hrithik-roshan-salman-khan-end-tiff/article1-1169240.aspx#sthash.sOa0dbT5.dpuf Hrithik Roshan, who has always shared a rocky equation with Salman, blowing hot and cold at times, drove down to Panvel for a couple of hours on December 31. “He left at around 8.30 pm. So he didn’t bring in the New Year with him,” says an eyewitness. The purpose of Hrithik’s visit is still unclear. News of a tiff between the actors first surfaced when Salman allegedly made a derogatory comment about Hrithik’s film, Guzaarish (2010). Then, a few weeks ago, they made headlines again when Hrithik — unlike his Krrish 3 (2013) co-stars Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut — didn’t appear on the show, Bigg Boss that is hosted by Salman. Another set of reports claimed that it was Salman who was not keen on having him promote his film on the show. But a few days later, Hrithik told us that all is well between them. “Salman has really added and contributed to my life in many ways,” he had said. After his meeting with Salman, Hrithik brought in 2014 at his friends Goldie Behl and Sonali Bendre’s house. Despite repeated attempts, Hrithik couldn’t be reached for a comment. - See more at: http://www.hindustantimes.com/entertainment/bollywood/hrithik-roshan-salman-khan-end-tiff/article1-1169240.aspx#sthash.sOa0dbT5.dpuf
