O Teri! Salman Khan Chooses Pulkit Samrat Over Varun Dhawan

Salman Khan has finally taken a call and has decided to go with Pulkit Samrat and not with Varan Dhawan. Yes the news is finally out in the open that the trailer of Atul Agnihotri‘s production O Teri will be attached to Jai Ho instead of David Dhavan’s Main Tear Hero starring his son Varan Dhavan. We all know that kind of rapport and camaraderie Salman Khan shares with David Dhawan. Together they have given hits like Judwaa, Biwi No. 1 and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, so when the promos of David Dhawan’s upcoming film Main Tera Hero was ready, Salman called up David and assured him that the trailer of the film would be attached to his upcoming film Jai Ho. David was more than happy to oblige as the film stars his son Varun Dhawan and it may prove to be a huge boost to the film. Our source told us, Jai Ho is a month away from release and Salman Khan has been getting a lot of requests to attach promos of various films with his film. Salman had seen some rushes of Main Tera Hero some time ago and liked what he saw and so wanted the promos of David’s Main Tera Hero to be attached to it. But now it seems that there has been a last minute change. Sohail Khan has asked Salman Khan to choose between either of the two trailers, David Dhawan‘s Main Tera Hero or Atul Agnihotri‘s O Teri. No points in guessing what Salman’s answer would be, as he has chosen family over his friend. Its now confirmed that the trailer of Salman Khan and Sohail Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s production O Teri, which stars Salman’s protege Pulkit Samrat would be the one that would be attached to Jai Ho. “The only trailer that has been confirmed to be attached with Jai Ho is that of O Teri. We may have space for just one more trailer. But then we finish our film’s post-production first, only then will I decide whose trailer we can accommodate besides O Teri“, this is what Sohail Khan had to say. BJP leader seeks apology from Ajaz, Salman Khan over Narendra Modi remark in Bigg Boss house

A BJP leader has sought a written apology from actor Ajaz Khan for calling its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi a "thief" -- and also from Salman Khan. After registering a complaint against Ajaz at the Samta Nagar police station, party leader Sandeep Upadhyay now expects a written apology from the former "Bigg Boss-Saath 7" contestant. Upadhyay, president of the BJP youth wing in North Mumbai who filed the complaint against Ajaz, said the apology must come within a week or "serious action" would follow. "We want Ajaz and Salman Khan to give a written apology within a week or else serious action will be taken. We have also sent a letter to Colors Channel," Upadhyay told IANS. Ajaz reportedly called Modi a 'chor' (thief) during the show hosted by Salman Khan. The remark was not aired on Colors channel. But the video managed to land on YouTube. It is the dream of a newcomer to see a star like Salman praising your work. I am following him since childhood and it is a dream come true for me," Himansh said. It feels good when such stalwarts see your work on screen and compliment the film," he said at a promotional event of the film at Essel World last evening. New Delhi: There were strong rumours earlier this year that Shah Rukh Khan`s `Chennai Express` and Salman Khan`s `Jai Ho` would clash at the Box-Office on Eid, 2013. However, the `Dabangg` star had to let go of this auspicious day as the release date of `Jai Ho` owing to the fact that a major part of the film`s shooting was yet to be completed.

According to a tabloid, Salman Khan is now eyeing to book his lucky `Eid day` for the release of his untitled film directed by Kabeer Khan in 2015. However, the shocking part is that Salman`s `once upon a time friend` Shah Rukh Khan is also rumoured to have finalised the same date for his movie `Raees`. It is said that SRK, who raked in alot of moolah from his last movie `Chennai Express` - which was released on Eid this year, is aware that his rival Salman is also gearing up to release his untitled project on the same date. On the other hand, a source has revealed that a member from SRK`s production house has apparently confirmed with Salman`s manager, the release date of Salman`s movie, soon after, the release date of their movie-which is to be released on the same date- was made public. Bigg Boss 7: Didn't added sexual assault to Armaan's case, says Sofia

Mumbai: British singer-actress Sofia Hayat says that in her complaint against her 'Bigg Boss 7' co-inmate Armaan Kohli she hadn't levelled any sexual assault charges. Armaan, who was evicted on Saturday from 'Bigg Boss 7' house, was arrested from the house on December 17 for allegedly assaulting Sofia, during her stay in the show. After being released on bail, Armaan re-entered the house only to be voted out. "I filed a complaint against Armaan under three sections, but when the police itself saw the footage, they themselves registered the complaint under two more sections," Sofia, who was evicted from "Bigg Boss" Dec 7, told reporters at Hot Yoga Studio launch here. "Police added sexual assault to the case... I didn't," she added. During her stay, Sofia had an argument with Armaan who allegedly ended up hitting her with a mop. But Sofia wonders why police, who saw the footage, released him so quickly. "I am not happy with Armaan getting bail so quickly. I don't know why he got free so quickly. My lawyer is looking into it. My point is that if police registered the complaint after seeing the footage and the valid proof, then how did they release Armaan so quickly? I just don't understand it," she added. The 'Bigg Boss' finale is on Dec 28 and Gauahar Khan, VJ Andy, Tanisha Mukherjee, Sangram Singh and Ajaz Khan are vying for the big prize. Asked who did she want to win the reality show, Sofia said: "I want Gauahar (to win the show "Bigg Boss"). I love her." "She is a good friend of mine. She is very good at heart. I really miss her a lot. I really love her. Please vote for Gauahar. She has to win this show," she added.

'Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai' first look to be unveiled on Salman's b'day

Mumbai: Director Muazzam Beg will unveil the first look of his film 'Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai', said to be inspired by Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt's lives, on 'Dabangg' star's birthday. Salman will turn 48 on December 27 and the cast and crew of the film have arranged a cake cutting ceremony at Bandra's Gaiety Galaxy. "When we started shooting in Ajmer, people on sets would ask me if we would also celebrate Salman's birthday. I said yes and here we are, all geared up for it," Beg said in a statement without confirming the superstar's presence at the function. "We want to celebrate the day with the actor's die-hard fans and also take the opportunity to unveil the first look of the film," he added. During the shooting of the film in Jaipur and Ajmer, some of Salman's fans had requested Beg to pass on their birthday wishes to the superstar. The film stars debutant actors Shresth Kumar, Zubair Khan and Anjali Arora in key roles and is slated to release in 2014.

While it was my duty to entertain Salman bhai's audience in the film, what I am pleasantly surprised about, is that given his personal reputation and superstardom, the audience has appreciated the fact that they can take something back home from the film. While we have an ensemble cast and everybody is a part of the film, I believe that my film does not have actors, it has characters. While we will be soon unveiling the other characters in the film, my effort was to first put out the film i

Prosecution in Salman Khan's case to appeal against fresh trial

The Prosecution in the 2002 hit-and-run case involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan has sought permission from the Maharashtra Government to file an appeal in the Bombay High Court challenging a sessions court judgement, which ordered fresh trial in this case. The prosecution has written a letter to the Law and Judiciary Department seeking permission to file an appeal, sessions court sources said today. Meanwhile, the case was today adjourned till January 7 as the investigating officer did not attend the proceedings. The prosecution, in the letter to the state government, said this was a fit case to file an appeal as the judge had erred in holding a de novo (fresh) trial. It said that there was no provision in law to hold a fresh trial and the evidence adduced in a court could not be discarded. The prosecution argued that it would be difficult for them to trace all the witnesses and re-examine them. In the eyes of law, the evidence recorded earlier in this case by a Magistrate cannot be discarded and may be used in the trial. On December 5, the court had ordered a fresh trial on the ground that the witnesses had not been examined in the context of aggravated charge of culpable homicide, which was invoked against the actor midway through the proceedings. The charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder attracts a 10-year sentence. The superstar had earlier been tried by a Magistrate for a lesser offence of causing death by negligence, which entailed an imprisonment of two years. The case, dragging on for over a decade, had taken a twist earlier this year when the Magistrate, after examining 17 witnesses, held that the charge of culpable homicide was made out against Salman and referred the matter to a sessions court as cases under this offence are triable by a higher court. On September 28, 2002, a Toyota Land Cruiser allegedly driven by Salman, had crushed a group of people sleeping on a pavement outside a bakery in suburban Bandra, killing one and injuring four.

'Kick' is a remake of a 2009 Telugu hit of the same name. The masala entertainer film marks producer Sajid Nadiadwala's debut as a director. "This film is going to be different. It is completely different from Salman's films earlier. I will add my style and touch to it," Sajid told PTI. Presently, Sajid is shooting for the film in Karjat. "It has been a good experience till now as a director. I have worked with Salman as a producer for quite a few films. We are having a great time, the experience is amazing," he added. Sajid says since it is his debut as a director, Salman is giving some fruitful suggestions to him. "He is bringing on board everything. We are working out scenes mutually, constructing ideas, etc... It's not just Deepika who is eager to work with Salman. In fact, the "Bigg Boss" host has also expressed his desire to work with the actress and has been seen praising her on many occasions. Since Gauhar gave Ajaz a royal ignore for the past few days, this was his way of getting back at her. He kept calling her names, making fun of her and acknowledging audience's applause in between. Mumbai: Fresh trial in Salman Khan hit-and-run case to begin today

New Delhi: A Mumbai court on Monday will hear actor Salman Khan's hit-and-run case of 2002. The court had on December 5 ordered for a fresh trial in the case. In his order, Sessions court judge DW Deshpande said all the witnesses would be examined and cross-examined again during the trial which would be put on fast-track mode. The prosecution is likely to give a new list of witnesses and evidence on Monday. Earlier a court had ordered that Salman Khan be tried for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, which attracts ten years of imprisonment. The actor had pleaded not guilty in court. The July 24 order was a major setback to the actor, who was earlier tried by Bandra metropolitan magistrate court for a lesser charge of rash and negligent act causing death, under section 304 A of IPC, which attracts two years of imprisonment. Salman had requested that the earlier evidence presented in the case be disregarded. One person was killed and four others were injured when the Land Cruiser, allegedly driven by Salman Khan, crushed a group of people sleeping on the pavement outside a bakery in suburban Bandra in the early hours on September 28, 2002. Actor Salman Khan, who has been hosting Bigg Boss for four seasons, may produce the next season of the controversial reality TV show. The buzz emerged after a reported tiff between the show’s current producers and the host channel. Salman Khan, has drawn flak from fans this season after he lashed out at TV actor Kushal Tandon for being rude to Tanishaa Mukherji in Bigg Boss house. He was also accused of blindly supporting Armaan and Tanisha on the show. Tweets and comments calling Salman Khan unfair swarmed the internet. In fact, Unfair Salman remained the top trend on Twitter. The 47-year-old is also said to be miffed with the channel for keeping some issues hidden from him. Meanwhile, an FIR has been filed against Salman for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. "We registered an FIR on December 13. We will have to investigate the case. We need to question the complainant and gather evidence before proceeding further," said a senior police official when asked whether the actor would be summoned for probe.

Just in: Film producer held for implicating Salman Khan

NEW DELHI: In a plot straight out of Bollywood, a film producer was arrested for allegedly trying to implicate Salman Khan in a fake attack on himself in order to coerce the film star to work in his next project. 47-year-old Hardev Singh, a city-based businessman and owner of a film production house in Mumbai, was arrested along with his accomplice and cousin Devender (44) yesterday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Alok Kumar said.

Shah Rukh, Salman Khan set to clash on Eid 2015 It will be the war of the Titans. On November 9 this year, it was announced that director Kabir Khan who has directed Kabul Express, New York, Ek Tha Tiger will be helming another film with Salman Khan. In fact the director will also be turning producer with the project which will be co-produced by Salman Khan's Being Human Films. Five weeks later, on December 14, it was announced that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani whose company Excel Entertainment is producing the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Raees will also release on Eid 2015. The film that is set in Gujarat and directed by Rahul Dholakia, will have SRK playing a bootlegger and Akhtar, a cop. If the producers stick to their guns and both the films release on the same day, it will be the first time that the two superstars will fight it out at the box-office. When contacted, Kabir Khan said that he was not aware of the development, and when told that the SRK starrer is also set to release on Eid he said. "Our film was announced long back and if Shah Rukh Khan's film is also releasing on Eid 2015, it makes no difference. Our project will definitely release on Eid 2015. Anybody else who wants to release their film on that day, is welcome." Dholakia the director of Raees was also ignorant of the fact that Salman's film with Kabir Khan was set to release on Eid 2015. "I am not aware of this. Anyway I have nothing to do with the release date. That is entirely the producers' call," he said. We also sent messages to Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani if they were aware about Salman's film releasing on Eid 2015, but they remained unavailable for comment.
